1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Gentle ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Gentle for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (habits, notes, check-ins). We don't claim any rights to your data. As explained in our Privacy Policy, your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Gentle only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to violate any laws or regulations
• Redistribute or resell the App

5. Free & Premium Tiers

Gentle offers a free tier with core features and a premium "Gentle Pro" subscription with additional features including premium themes and unlimited habits.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Gentle Pro is available as a subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and upon each renewal
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. We will notify you in advance of any price changes
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No Refunds: Unused portions of subscriptions are not refunded. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support
• Access After Cancellation: If you cancel, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. Your data is never deleted

7. Purchases

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. We do not process or store any payment information directly.

8. No Warranty

Gentle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to make the App reliable and useful, we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription.

10. Data Loss

While we design Gentle to safely store your data, you are responsible for maintaining backups. We recommend keeping iCloud backup enabled. We are not responsible for any loss of data.

11. Updates

We may release updates to improve the App. These terms apply to all updates unless we provide new terms with the update.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your devices. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these terms. If your subscription is terminated, you will not receive a refund for any unused portion.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we make changes.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through the appropriate legal channels.
