Privacy Policy

Data Collection

MonthBox does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial data on external servers. We have no servers. Your budget data exists only on your device.

Local Storage

All your budget data (income, expenses, savings goals, debts, categories and settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device, except as part of the device backups you choose to make (see below).

Device Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, your MonthBox data is included in that backup like the data of your other apps. In this case:

• The backup is created and stored by Apple (or on your own computer)
• We never see or have access to this data
• Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud data

MonthBox does not currently sync data between devices.

Notifications

Bill reminders and budget alerts (Premium) are scheduled locally on your device. They are only created if you turn them on, and no information about them is sent to any server.

Purchases

Premium purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. MonthBox only receives the purchase status needed to unlock Premium on your device. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details.

Analytics

MonthBox does not use any analytics services. We don't track how you use the app, what features you use, or how often you open it. We simply don't know.

Third-Party Services

MonthBox contains:

• No third-party SDKs
• No advertising networks
• No tracking pixels
• No analytics services
• No crash reporting services that collect personal data

Bank Account Linking

MonthBox does not connect to your bank accounts. All expense and income tracking is manual. We never ask for or have access to your banking credentials.

Data Sharing

Since we don't have your data, we cannot share it. Not with advertisers, not with data brokers, not with anyone. Your financial information stays on your device.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Export: You can export your data as CSV files or PDF reports (Premium)
• Delete: Delete individual entries in the app, or delete the app to remove all of your data

Children's Privacy

MonthBox does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app simply doesn't collect data.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given our commitment to not collecting data, significant changes are unlikely.
