1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MonthBox ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
MonthBox is a personal budget tracking application that helps you manage your monthly expenses and income. The App stores data locally on your device. This data is included in the device backups you choose to make (for example iCloud Backup).
3. Free and Premium Services
MonthBox offers both free and premium features:
- Free Features: Core budget tracking, expense and income management, bill marking, fixed monthly bills, home screen widget, and monthly history.
- Premium Features: Analytics and insights, savings goals, debt payoff planner, smart reminders and budget alerts, custom categories, and data export (CSV/PDF).
4. Subscription Terms
Premium features are available through the following options:
- Monthly Subscription: $2.99 per month, billed monthly
- Yearly Subscription: $19.99 per year, billed annually (save 44%)
- Lifetime Purchase: $49.99 one-time payment
Prices are shown in US dollars. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store in local currency and are shown before you confirm a purchase.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings:
- Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
- Select MonthBox
- Choose to modify or cancel your subscription
5. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly as all purchases are handled through their platform.
6. Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into MonthBox. Your budget data is stored:
- Locally on your device
- In your device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backups), if you use them
We do not have access to your financial data. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
- Not use the App for any illegal purposes
- Maintain backups of your important data
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
MonthBox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Any financial decisions based on App data will be accurate
MonthBox is a budgeting tool, not financial advice. Always consult a qualified financial advisor for important financial decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or financial losses arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
